Query: Itchy sunburn, please lend a hand?

Itchy sunburn, please help?

Last night my sunburn itched so bad I couldn’t sleep and I was crying. My dad put an itching cream on my back which helped slightly but not enough. I eventually fell asleep and when I woke up this morning it only itched a little.

I have mostrized and taken cold showers warm showers I have tried tea, baking soda and corn starch nothing seemed to help at all. Not even aloe Vera.

Now that it isn’t itching very bad I’m afraid it will itch really bad again tonight. Do you think it will? Or has the extreme itching passed?

Is Benadryl cream something I need a prescription for? Thank you
