I go through the same challenge. Being around people helps. I binge on my own private space because I am embarrassed to eat in front of others. So pursuing the company of others, whether friends or a roommate, helps deter the behavior. I reached my weight goal this year once thanks to having a roommate. But now I don't have one, I've had difficulty with my eating habits. It really is about your head and putting yourself in a no fail predicament. Depression will overwhelm me and bound me home alone. But when that cloud is lifted, I venture out, whether running or going to a baseball game, whatever involves people. I am 5'11", currently 180-190 lbs. My goal is 175, my low mark when I lost 45 pounds three years ago.
