Question: Will I lose fat based on this workout and eating routine?

I have always been a gym goer usually 3 to 4 times a week the past 4 years just doing strength training with little or no cardio. I'd say in that 4 year span I went from 190 to 230(the heaviest). I was not digging the stocky look anymore as I fear I made a mistake those 4 years and the result is a lot of muscle but not particularly cut. So I decided to change it up and lose fat but try to retain my strength and most of my muscle mass.

Here is my current routine: At lunch I do the elliptical Monday to Friday for about 35 to 45 minutes depending on time. I usually burn about 400 to 470 calories a workout form that. After work I do weight lifting with heavy weights less reps 4 times a week with a day in between of rest from lifting. When it is not a lifting day I still go to gym after work and do the elliptical for 30 minutes so I 2 elliptical runs every other day no matter what during the week. On Saturday and Sunday I only workout once and whatever cycle it's either elliptical or lifting but its guaranteed both on the weekend.

Eating Habit (shorter explanation :)) I basically try to eat under 2,000 calories a day 2,600 at the most. No focus on specifics so I'll eat anything from buffalo wings to soup or cereal with only trying to make sure I get more protein.

I dropped down from 230 to 222 in about 3 weeks but can't seem to break 220. Will I continue to lose fat at this pace or is this a losing formula?
