It is time for another update! It has a couple months since the last, and since then, I have jumped on the Lean Gains Intermittent Fasting bandwagon with Cthulhu and Shaun to get down to an even further state of weight loss and fat burning. My weight is now at 186 pounds...down from 224 originally in March. My diet hasn't changed too dramatically in terms of substance...but in terms of timing...it is completely different. Here is my diet as of today:

6:00 am: wake

3:15 pm: low-fat mozzarella cheese string cheese stick

4:30 pm: weight training only (cardio once during the week and once during the weekend)

5:45 pm: (immediately after weight training) 1/2 whey protein shake

7:00 pm: (some time upon arriving at home) low-fat mozzarella cheese string cheese stick, whey protein shake, 1 serving rotisserie deli chicken, 4 ounce serving lean poultry, 2 tablespoons peanut butter

8:30 pm: (dinner) 8 oz. lean meat (burger, chicken, pork, or steak), 20 grams of a complex carbs (green vegetables)

10:00 pm: whey protein shake

10:30 pm: 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1/2 cup Breyer's carb smart vanilla ice cream

As you can see, there is a 16 to 17 hour period of complete fasting, and another 3 to 4 hours additional afterwards to continue the fast and encourage additional fat burning from the period of fasted training and post workout. The diet basically is a decrease in protein and carbohydrates to hit my target weight, and an increase in fat to encourage ketosis to set in and burn the remaining portions of fat that I would like to burn off.

The approximate macronutrient breakdown of the diet at this time (approximate) is:

183 grams of protein - 732 calories
62 grams of carbs (11 grams of simple carbs (sugars) and 51 grams of complex carbs) - 248 calories
59 grams of fat - 531 calories

Total caloric intake: 1511 calories
49% from protein, 16% from carbohydrates, and 35% from fat
