Unfortunately, no amount of sit-ups or abdominal training exercises will reduce your belly fat. You can build up the muscles beneath the fat all you like, but it will only be through proper nutrition and cardio that you'll be able to reduce the layer of fat sitting above your abdominals. This means cutting back your daily caloric intake so that you're in a calorie deficit of at least 500 calories. Do this for 1 week and you'll lose 1 pound (because you must burn 3500 calories to lose 1 pound).
