Do You Express Empathy Toward Other People?

Empathy is an ability to read and understand other people and be intune with there feelings and emotions. If you use empathy, you might be considered to be an empath.

Are you highly sensitive? Do you have a deep sense of knowing? Are you compassionate and considerate, and understanding of others?

It is often said that empathy is genetic or inherent in our DNA, passed from generation to generation. Do you believe this to be true?

It is said that empaths possess the ability to sense others on different levels and seem to know what another person is saying and feeling, and often thinking. Such as in reading another person's body language. Is this possible?

It is said that empaths have certain character traits, like:

They feel emotions often and deeply

Aware of other peoples feelings

Easily hurt or upset by insults or rude remarks

Try to avoid conflicts and confrontations

Have a hard time releasing sad feelings

Prone to depression

Aware of beauty and in art and music and in nature.

Often feel overwhelmed or worn out by too much stimuli

Were very sensitive as a child.

Do you relate to anything mentioned here? Please share thoughts and opinions on this subject.
