Don't believe it necessarily...you can workout in the PM and tear your muscles so hard that you are ready to collapse...both mentally and physically...you can do the same in the morning and capitalize on your maxed out hormone levels and eat your way through the day with minimal fat storage.

If you know what you are doing with your diet and your body's cycle of rest, you can workout in the AM or workout in the PM with the same effects either way.

Would working out in the evening help sleep faster? I have been nights where I have it takes at least 1-2 hours of staring at the ceiling before I get to sleep. I have heard varying opinions regarding exercising at night.

If you bust your butt with high intensity resistance / weight training, eat some lean protein, and take a shower, you may have a better chance of falling asleep sooner...everyone is different though so you will have to try it for yourself...there is nothing to lose.
