I try to refrain from a large meal myself. With a large meal, I can't even think. It's too bad that I don't like to waste food either. I really hate it when people just stuff my plate up like that. I wonder if they are trying to stuff me up for thanksgiving. LOL!!!

There is nothing wrong with a large meal in terms of caloric intake...as long as your daily intake (including the large meal) is right where it needs to be. However, I am the same with eating a large meal...especially after 20 hours of intermittent fasting...I don't eat all day and I have tons of energy...and then the second a have my "breakfast" around 7:00PM, I am nearly conked out for an hour or so!

The relationship between melatonin and insomnia may be due to the fact that melatonin helps regulate our biological clock. Hence, it can also regulate sleeping patterns.

So red wine contains melatonin & aids in insomnia? That's confusing. >.<
LOL thanks for sharing the list. Unfortunately I'm a huge turkey fan, so I guess I need to start eating turkey at night.

Yeah, My energy levels are sapped. Especially if a lot of the large meals consist of foods that drain your energy, talk about a multi whammy. Occasionally, I do let myself have a full on big meal. This is like once a week or so.

I'm surprised that candy bars are draining energy, I always have a lot of energy when I eat sugar...but maybe it's just autosuggestion since I love the taste of it and I want to justify eating it:o. I agree on pasta - I always feel so sleepy after eating my delicious spaghetti. I try to eat it only after working out.
All the best,
