My tongue is peeling off! Is this Normal?

It is about 5 years now since my tongue problem started. It peels off (what you can term as non-painful corroded tongue) and I'm really worried about it. I thought it was an infection but all the oral antibiotics have not helped at all. Even my research into this leads me into believing I have a Geographical Tongue. What I'm I missing about all these?
