Does your wait to hip ratio stay the same when you lose weight?

My wait is currently at 42 inches and my hips are 56 inches. I've already lost 135 lbs and have about 130 left. I didn't do measurements until now because I want to be able to document body change. I was wondering if the waist to hip ratio generally stays the same?
