The only way to get slim is to lose fat. You lose fat by being in a caloric deficit. You have to eat less calories than what your body uses on a day-to-day basis. Find your BMR (Basal metabolic rate) and then try to hit 400 less calories than that each day. So if your BMR is 2300 calories, then try to eat only 1900 calories each day, and track your progress to make sure you're making good results. Exercise is just a catalyst to help you lose weight because it burns your calories. So if you do an exercise that burns 100 calories, you can now eat 2000 calories that day instead of 1900, and get the same results. Hope that made sense.
