I'm on a limited income but trying to lose weight and eat healthier. Here's what I had yesterday and so far today. B: breakfast burrito, tea
L: peanut butter & jelly sandwich, water
PM Snack: 2 handfulls cheddar Sunchips
D: borsch w/1 T sour cream, large slice of homemade whole wheat bread, 1t margarine (I make my borsch vegetarian style with just beets, cabbage, potatoes, onion, and carrots)
Thu
B: Cheerios, milk
AM Snack: 1/2 apple (I was able to get a dozen large apples for just $4 yesterday!), green tea w/1 tsp honey
L: 2 soup-mug servings cream of tomato soup (large can condensed tomato soup, soup can of milk, small can tomatoes), slice of cheddar cheese.
Dinner tonight will likely be cabbage with 1/2 beef polish sausage for a little extra flavor.
I realize the chips and burrito were bad yesterday. No excuses. Any other helpful criticim to improve my diet?
