Derek, first of all, I love your new avatar; it really made me laugh! :D

Secondly, I have heard that, too, about exercising early in the morning on an empty stomach being better for fat burning and really do believe it. Plus, if I work out at night, I have a hard time falling asleep.

Thanks. My girlfriend showed it to me on Pinterest just a few minutes ago and I thought it was a perfect fit for how some people like to "comfort-ize" health and fitness.

In regards to exercise in the morning...it doesn't matter what time of day as much as it matters what is in your stomach. I don't run in the morning, but I train around 4:30pm in a fasted state for the same fat burning effect.

I also stay in a fasted state for another hour afterwards to maximize the fat burning and I have nooo problem falling asleep at all after 5 strenuous days of weight training in a row.

I try to run for about 45 minutes when I get up in the morning. It's either that, or turn the tv on and watch sportscenter or Mike and Mike. I think I'm making the right move by getting out of the house. lol

All the best,
