I came across same story where the pet affected its owner's life-altering decision. The woman was suicidal due to depression and her stream of thoughts goes, "My husband would be better without me… I'm just a burden to my family and friends and their life will be much easier when without me around…". Just as she contemplated ending her life, she saw her cat. Her cat is dependent to her as her husband doesn't like cats. She thought what would happen to that cat if she's dead. She thought she can't entrust it to anybody because hers is a really untrusting, mischievous cat. After then, she realizes the selfishness on her part to think of death and how it would really affect her husband, family and friends. She decided she needed some help and underwent clinical treatment.

Amazing how a dependent soul such as our pet could save us while we think of saving them.

That's an inspiring story. With a good moral behind it, too. Yes, sometimes, we become too focused on our own problems and forget that we are part and parcel of a bigger social unit. What we do, or don't do, will definitely have an effect on the other people around us. The people around us are not just those who are physically near us. These people include those who are near to us in terms of relationships.

So every time we make an effort to reduce our weight and improve our health, we are making an impact on how other people think about their own diet and health, too.

Lots of supplements now are being commercialized and offered to the market mainly for lose weight purposes. Some of which are real, some are hoax, but what's important is that she managed to lose weight without causing any adverse effects on her part. I admire her for that, it takes a lot of hardship and sacrifices to achieve what she had achieved. Self discipline is hard to maintain most specially if there are lots of temptations and hindrances are around you.

Two thumbs up for her; she did a great job. :))

Sometimes you just don't see it when you need to lose weight. I always fluctuate and I can tell because I feel it. My stomach is spilling over, my skin is greasy and I just feel tired all of the time. Sometimes you just avoid it and don't look in the mirror as much and just keep eating. I can see how she didn't realize it. For years I only looked at my face when getting ready and ignored the rest.
