The sleep-diet relationship

For the past couple of weeks, I've been very busy so I sleep a lot less than I normally do. I also noticed that I have been eating a lot and I am frequently hungry and sure enough, when I checked my weight, I gained a couple of pounds. I checked the net to see if there's a relationship and I found this.

According to WebMD, there are two nightly hormones that are responsible for this. Gherlin and Leption. Gherlin is the 'go' hormone. Tells you when to eat and when you lack sleep, you have more gherlin. Leptin is the opposite, it's the hormone that tells you to stop eating and when you lack sleep, you have less of this.

Do you think there's a relationship between lack of sleep and gaining weight?
