I've been thinking of participating next year and I did some research. Seems that it's a pretty dangerous hobby to pick up. The most common cause of death being heart failure due to overexertion. I have even read an article written by a heart surgeon detailing how dangerous this race is to the amateur triathlete. Strangely enough knowing this makes me want to compete even more :). Would you participate in light of these facts?
