The ideal Diet or should I say lifestyle change

I think a to achieve well-being you need to eat a variety of foods and limit or avoid bad foods. I rather take 6 months to a year to lose weight than quickly lose weight on a fad diet. Which the weight is regained in a matter of weeks or months.
