Sticking To Your Diet When Traveling

Sometimes I am very good at planning what food to take when traveling, but other times when rushed, I grab the first handy thing that comes along and end up ruining my diet on junk foods. So how do you plan ahead for food on your family vacation or business trip?

Here are some helpful tips or strategies:

If you travel by car pack a cooler with healthy foods, such as sandwiches and yogurt, fruit and vegetables, trail mix or crackers.

If you travel by plane pack snacks such as nuts or fruit in your carry-on bag.

Ask hotel employees about healthy restaurants in the area. Ones that offer grilled or broiled, or baked foods, instead of fried foods. Check local grocery stores for fruit and easy-to-fix items.

At business events, use portion control and pick out the healthy foods on menu

Focus your mind on eating healthy
