Cardio and strength in the same day?

Hi



I am a known cardio freak, always have been. But I have now lost about 30 pounds and am wanting to add some strength training as well. I want to change the shape of my arms and legs.



Do you suggest doing both cardio and strength in the same day or do you do alternating days?



I need a program I guess because now I want some shape to my body now that it has shrunk. Free weights or just use my body weight as in push ups.



Ay ideas would be great. I plan on starting this coming week.
