Wheat Belly?

I've been reading that consuming too many wheat-based products will give you a belly. Paleo and some other diets don't include wheat, which contains gluten. Modern day wheat contains a higher concentration of gluten, which I read is not healthy for you even if you don't have an allergy. Some people suggest rice (there's rice-based pasta now) as an alternative. Wheat is convenient and cheap, so I definitely eat a lot of it in the form of bread and pasta.



What do you guys think about this issue?
